Please ensure that your CV is clear and concise, we would recommend that
CV’s are no longer than three pages long, except in circumstances
where an applicant is extremely qualified.
Your letter is imperative for lending personality to your file. You will
be selected for a job based on the strength of your file so it is important
that you take the time to ‘sell’ yourself to potential employers.
If you do not have any previous experience in the hospitality industry,
we need to know why you are seeking work in the sector and how your skills
relate to the industry e.g. strong customer service skills, previous team
work experience, willingness to multi task.
Please do not send certificates that bear no direct relevance to the industry,
whilst it is important to include information relating to qualifications
you have taken in the appropriate section of your CV, we do not need you
to include the supporting paperwork in your file. Employers will be interested
in any hospitality certificates that you have achieved, so please include
these when sending us your file.
We require TWO written references from previous employers. If you do not
have two professional references, we will need you to send us one professional
and one character reference. We cannot legally place applicants without
TWO written references.
PLEASE NOTE: We will not accept the name and addresses of referees. We
need you to contact your employers and ask them to provide a written statement,
on company paper as testament to your period of employment.
We need to know that all applicants coming to the UK have a clean bill
of health. You will need to be mentally and physically fit to work. You
will need to go to your doctor and ask for a medical certificate.

Once you have collated all the information that will make up your file,

Anglo Continental are now expanding and are also looking for temporary
staff to work in hotels, restaurants and pubs for full and part time positions
including bar work, chambermaiding, waitressing etc. If you would like
to apply for a position we need full C.V.’s with references, copy
of your visa and passport, medical certificate, police clearance (where

All placements are for a minimum of six months.
We concentrate on placing front line staff in hotel and catering establishments,
filling positions including waiting, bar, housekeeping and kitchen staff,
receptionists, porters, chefs and management.
If you are legally employed in the UK you will be paid the National Minimum
Wage. This is a two-tiered system, with one rate for those over 22 years

No. The establishment that offers you the job will employ you. Anglo Continental
acts solely as a placement agency.
The type and location of the accommodation will depend on the establishment.
The majority of our clients offer staff quarters on the premises. There
are also clients that own properties in the area local to their establishments,
which provide accommodation for the staff.
You will be informed, prior to commencing your job, what the accommodation
situation is.
Again this depends on the establishment, we will advise you fully on establishment
requirements once we have secured you a position. If a uniform is not
provided, as a general rule applicants will be asked to bring smart black
trousers / skirt, white shirt / blouse and formal black shoes.
